The action of the ballet concerns the comic plight of two lovers Kitri and Basilio who are aided by Don Quixote, the famous character from Cervantes’ great novel, and his portly side-kick Sancho Panza. The show is filled with delightful dance elements, slap-stick sequences, swirling skirts, fluttering fans, macho bullfighters, and sensual gypsies. The Russian National Ballet Theatre performs.
