William J. Bullock
Executive Director
Bill joined RiverCenter after a 33-year career as a choral director and music administrator. He served Tarrant County Junior College (Fort Worth, Texas) and the University of Southern Mississippi (Hattiesburg) before retiring from Columbus State University in 2000. He received his Ph.D. degree from Florida State University. In addition to his responsibilities at RiverCenter, Bill conducts the professional chorus Cantus Columbus. He is married to Janie Lee, who is on the staff of the Schwob School of Music and is organist at First Baptist Church, Columbus. Bill and Janie Lee have a daughter, Leigh, a learning and performance improvement manager who lives with her husband, Seth, in North Carolina, and a son, Mark, who is an anchor at WSFA in Montgomery, Alabama.
Jannina McPherson
Director of Business Affairs and CFO
Jannina joined RiverCenter staff as the accounting coordinator in 2004 and became the director of business affairs/CFO in 2007. She brings RiverCenter nineteen years of business experience from organizations such as MasterCard International Corporation, The Smithsonian: The National Museum for Native American Indians, Columbus Consolidated Government and Aflac. Jannina is currently enrolled in finance management at Columbus State University. She is a mother of three: Jaide-Ellyse, Jared and Jenay.
John Camp
Technical Director
A Columbus native, John began his professional career in the entertainment industry as a musician at the age of 15. His 25-year career has included work in many capacities both as a performer and a technician. He joined the production department of RiverCenter in September, 2003, as the sound services coordinator and became the technical director in January, 2008. John currently resides in Phenix City, Alabama, with his wife Jessica and two children, Zachary and Isabella.
Jim Rutland
Program and Education Director
Jim is a Columbus native who spent 20 years in New York City performing and working in the entertainment industry. Highlights of that time include an appearance in the feature film Philadelphia and concerts at Carnegie Hall and on HBO. Jim returned to Columbus in 2002 in conjunction with RiverCenter’s grand opening and is extremely happy to be home and working at RiverCenter.
